A fictional everyday scene for practising this lesson

Talk about an experience

The focus is whether the activity is part of your experience, rather than when one particular event happened.

Talk about a particular past event

昨日きのう、パンを作りつくりました tells someone about what happened yesterday. You can add a time to help identify the event. It is a natural answer when the question is 'What did you do yesterday?'

Make the ta-form carefully

The ending is not always た: 飲んのんだことがあります is correct.

Answer a question about experience

For a yes answer, あります is possible when the activity is understood. For a no answer, ありません or ないです is possible. A follow-up question can then ask when or where; the reply can describe a specific past event.
