2. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Subscription & renewal. Full Access is a monthly subscription that renews automatically each month until you cancel.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time by emailing japanese@ccn.jp from the email address on your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your Full Access remains active until the end of the current paid month, after which you keep your free account.
Refunds.
- Because this is a digital service that is accessible immediately, we do not provide refunds for partial months or for time already elapsed (no partial refunds).
- If you were charged in error, double-charged, or could not access the service due to a fault on our side, contact us within one (1) month and we will investigate and refund where appropriate.
- Refunds, when granted, are returned via the original payment method (Square).
Beta notice. Japanese Talk is in Beta; content is still expanding and may contain errors. Please report issues via the in-app "Report a mistake" button or japanese@ccn.jp.
3. Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
Japanese Talk provides scene-based Japanese conversation practice (text, audio, romaji, English translations, culture notes), provided by CCN CO., LTD. ("we", "us"). The service is in Beta and provided "as is"; we do not guarantee that all content is error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information. One account per person.
4. Plans & payment
A free plan unlocks Lessons 1–3 of every scene. Full Access (US$5/month) unlocks all lessons and renews automatically until cancelled. Prices may change with prior notice; changes do not affect the month already paid.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the content for your own personal language learning. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, scrape, or republish the audio, text, or other content, nor use it to train machine-learning models, without our written permission.
6. Intellectual property
All content and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.
8. Disclaimer & liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with the Saitama District Court as the court of exclusive jurisdiction of first instance.

1. Who we are
CCN CO., LTD., provider of Japanese Talk. Contact: japanese@ccn.jp.
2. What we collect
- Account: email address, display name, and (optional) profile photo you upload.
- Learning data: your lesson progress (synced to your account). Voice recordings stay on your device — they are processed in your browser for your own playback and are not uploaded to or stored on our servers.
- Feedback: messages you send via the "Report a mistake" form (and email if you provide one).
- Technical: standard server logs (e.g., IP address, browser type) for security and reliability.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Square. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of payment and the email used, to activate Full Access.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use an essential cookie to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to help us understand how the service is used. Where required, analytics cookies are used only after you consent via our cookie banner; you can decline.
5. How we use data
To provide and improve the service, sync your progress, activate paid access, respond to support, and keep the service secure.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate (Square for payments, Google Analytics, and our hosting provider), and where required by law.
7. Retention & your rights
We keep account and progress data while your account is active. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing japanese@ccn.jp.
8. International users
Your data is processed and stored on servers in Japan. By using the service you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted on this page.
